BACKSTORY
Great name, great guitar. La Cabronita Especial in White Blonde, one of 10 single pickup examples of the color. This was part of the original 2009 run of 120 guitars (40 single pickups/ 80 double pickups) in 4 colors (Vintage Blonde, Black, Shoreline Gold, and Dakota Red).
At the time this was the coolest thing ever, but the relicing hasn't aged well. Fender's relic process has become much more refined over the years. This guitar was built at time when Fender was at the forefront of the relic movement and the nearest competitor was using X-ACTO knives to give the appearance of cracked lacquer. Being progressive is something the Fender Custom Shop has historically excelled at, and this Tele is an interesting milestone.
