TAYLOR
GS MINI - MAPLE
SPECS.
- GS Mini body
- Sitka spruce top
- Flamed maple veneer back and sides
- Ebony fretboard
BACKSTORY
I've been a fan of the GS mini since it came out. The specs were great and the price was right. I waited for a bit because I read in Wood and Steel (Taylor's newsletter/magazine) that other tone woods were on the horizon. Since I always opt for bright tone I got maple, but I probably should have waited for koa a few years later. It's a maple laminate and I used it for an office guitar, so I'm not really losing sleep over it.
I had the guitar on display hanging by the headstock and the only source of light were two opaque skylights- which probably explains the darkening pattern.
