BACKSTORY
My father decided to come to California for one of my Fender trips. As a carpenter by trade he was curious how they made these incredible instruments with such precision. After our tour around the factory, he saw a Hot Rod Red Telecaster on a rack by the builder cubicles (I think it was a Yuriy order) and said "order me one of these!" The old man is really into music and cars so it just made sense for this to be his guitar.
We ordered a more streamlined version of it with block esprit-style inlay and made it lefty for him. I put the same neck shape as "Snowburst" and "Pete's Guitar" because it seems to fit our similar hand proportions better. There are a lot of similarities between this guitar and his brother's guitar, like the ebony skunk stripe, matching peghead, and figured maple neck.
He never plays the damned thing! He just displays it like an art piece. I regret not ordering it right-handed- I could have borrowed it indefinitely.
