BACKSTORY
The one that started all the other Custom Shop orders. Originally conceived in 2007, I spec'ed a Strat based on some of my favorite features. It kind of looks like a normal Antigua Strat... until you get closer. The more you look at it, the more you notice there are slight differences. I was always one of those guys who looks at gear at live shows, which is why I thought the Trojan Horse approach would be best with the guitar. Funky, but not unrecognizable. It has a lot to offer to eagle-eyed gearheads.
It seems pretty simple compared to my more ambitious projects but it is my workhorse. It gets the job done and remains to be my favorite because of it. Greg Fessler built the perfect compliment to my style on the first try. In the process, Greg really opened my mind to the world of Fender and helped separate fact from fiction- There was so much to learn. My previous study of forums, magazines, and catalogs could not compare with those conversations. Every year since I have gone deeper and deeper down the gearhead rabbit hole.

EXTRA DETAILS
The last photograph features the Couch White Byloos strap that I got from Dan Perkins at a NAMM show. He figured it would compliment it the best so he gave me his last one. The pink stitching even matches my guitar picks (Dunlop Delrin .96) which only come in neon pink color.
